A 4th Birthday Celebration Filled With Love & Free Scones

A 4th Birthday Celebration Filled With Love & Free Scones

Well, we did it! Another year under our belts and we are still baking scones and making smiles. :)

August 1st we held our annual Free Scone Birthday Celebration. This is the first year that our celebration fell on a day when the scone shop was open. Needless to say, I was a bit anxious! For those who have not been to our sweet little scone shop in Northport, little is the operative word! The parking lot holds 16 cars comfortably. The space for customers in the shop is 12 x 12. Now, try to wrap your head around this: We gave away scones to more than 250 people!

I must give all sorts of kudos to my staff. Lauren is the newest member of the team. She and Riah baked 47 batches of scones! Angelica, who is typically our production leader, was the parking attendant. I can not believe how many cars she parked in our lot. It was like the lot expanded in a Mary Poppins magic carpet bag sort of way. I swear there were 30 cars out there at a time.

We offered live music this year by Tidewalker. This band is so special to me, as they are all lobstermen! I thought their vibe would be a perfect addition since we just launched our Hushpuppy Premium Scone Mix in support of the lobstermen. They did not disappoint. Everyone loved them!

The Love Card was greeting people as they queued for their scones. Look at the joy on these faces! If you have not already done so, check out their story. We could all use more love and kindness in our life.

We also hosted a fabulous vendor fair. Cosmic Creations came with their gorgeous ice tiedye apparel. Blueberry Bay Beads is one of our favorite jewelers with her nostalgic vintage enameled jewelry. My daughter, Izzi and our honorary daughter, Jamie, worked a table selling Izzi's sterling silver earrings, Riah's paintings and some of our vendors jewelry as well! They may have taken a bit of time off to munch on a few scones, too. :)

Sarah Sullivan was there to represent her mothers exquisite fine art. Check it out

*Sarah owns Story Silo Media and is the reason our scone images are so fabulous. She is hands down the best food photographer I know!

Last, we had two phenomenal story tellers there to sign copies of their books! Annie Higbee is the author of award winning book The Hummingbird and the Narwhal. This is such a beautiful book about friendship, kindness and diversity. Pat Leach offered many of her books, including Crossing Northern Borders, Lily the Downeast Dog and Rainbow Whiskers.

All of us at The Scone Goddess are so grateful and humbled by your love and support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words, sharing the scone love and making us a part of your family traditions. It is truly an honor.

Cheers and Love!

Veronica - Your Scone Goddess
